http://www.fender.com/support/diagra...400_02CPg2.pdf this wiring will allow the mid and bridge pickup to run off the same tone control. .022 cap is used in modern era strats . .047 or .1 in vintage , pick your poison.

NO, he needs 250k pots, If he is going for the vintage vibe with stock Alnico 5s, cloth wiring and and orange drop. Strats have 250 k pots. Also you only need one cap

Re: Planned upgradews for my Squier CV 60's Strat
Hey Yogi, 250k Cap? now Im really confused lol,
why I was buying the 3 different Caps was I noticed in the upgrade kits from Rs Guitarworks they use a .047 cap, and other people have told me 0.22 Cap, so I thought I'd buy a few and try them all out. Anyway Yogi I know your the man when it comes to Squier CV's, can you tell me what I should use, i.e, 3 x 250k Pots and a .022 cap? or a .047 cap, what do you use in your CV60? As for the Gold Bridge and Jack I already have Gold Tuners, anyway thanks for your help |

![]() To the OP not that it matters but I don't believe Yogi has a CV 60's at the monent. And A5 or A3, makes no difference as to what pot and cap value you use.they use the same.

Re: Planned upgradews for my Squier CV 60's Strat
Yeah I meant 250k pots, and I have a CV 50s at the moment. Believe it or not I still have the stock mini pots and cap in there, I don't really have any problem with the way it came stock, and believe it or not mini pots can be quite reliable despite hat people say about the quality. My Squier Affinity had the stock mini pots and low quality switch for 10 years and I never had a problem with either. I'm not sure which cap you'll want, that is really preference. There easy to change out so buy a couple and experiment.
