$650 for a 91/92 Fender American Strat

The neck is either Mexican Fender or Squire-I have guitars from this era that are MIM. You will never see a black plastic truss rod plug on a MIA Fender. They are usually Walnut or something similar.

The body doesn't quite look Mexican-the route looks a little different than any of my MIM's. But after a little closer look, it could be-

An American Fender will never have huge, thick drips and runs in the control cavities. They will be smoother and cleaner looking in the cavities than the MIM's and Chinese models.


The bridge and saddles are all wrong. The pickups are most likely Squires or some other Chinese PU's. They are not MIM's. MIM's have two smaller parallel ceramic magnets, not one big, fat one.

At best, this is a MIM strat worth 2-3 hundred bucks-At worst, it is a hodge podge of parts a pieces and isn't worth 150 bucks.

You need to take this guitar `back to where ever you bought it from. It might be somebody that got took like you or it could be a very dishonest person.

Don't let them BS you-this is not an American Strat-It doesn't even appear to have one single USA made part on it.
