Japanese Strat neck question

Looking around on ebay at Japanese Strat necks, (readily available from theStratosphere on ebay), the guy usually has '57 and '62 necks available. Is there a difference in shape on the necks, or is the '62 the same neck but with rosewood?

I would like a fatter neck on my MIM Strat.

Re: Japanese Strat neck question

Look for a japanese '54 reissue neck. Fattest neck, V shaped, i ever played on a strat. I own one and it's a great neck, almost too big.

IDK alot of 57 have a V profile and the 62 a C does it not describe the shape on the ad.? also you can email them.

I would also check on Telecaster Guitar Forum - guitars, gear, amps and strings and or with other sites ,that have build sections . I not sure a MIJ will properly fit a MIM could very well ,but I would check first if I was you.

Re: Japanese Strat neck question

Unless there is something else out there the V neck's are the thickest ones that I've felt. But that's just me.

Re: Japanese Strat neck question

Would be glad to custom finish one for you.
And by the way a lot of the MIJ are 2-7/32" neck pocket width.

MIJ necks won't fit directly onto a MIM guitar body. The neck pocket dimensions are different. I know from personal experience.
