Re: 62 Jazzmaster

Looking forward to seeing the pix. I sure as hell wish I had the money, too. If you're letting it go on the cheap, let me know!

If it is a refin or basket case of some kind - do PM me - I can probably scratch up that kind of $$. If she's all original and collector's grade, I'd still like to drool on some pix!!

She's no basket case, I'll put up some pics, but now I'm not even sure its a 62, I have had it since I was a kid tucked away in my mothers house I forgot it was even there, it may even be a 58 or 59 I'm trying to verify a few things on it. I havent played it since late 60s early 70s I may need to find a Fender expert on it. I'm just wanting some cash to buy a Billy Bo or a 56RI. I'll let ya know tho Dice

Dice so far on my research I've been able to establish so far its between a 58-61 the wife will have the camera later tonite

Wow - that is just a wet dream and a half. Out of my price range, unfortunately. I'm still looking forward to seeing it!

Re: 62 Jazzmaster

I'd give my R8 for it - but even that wouldn't be a good trade for the Rev.

What a sweetheart of a guitar! I hope you can keep it, Rev. If I had the funds, I'd be all over it.

Re: 62 Jazzmaster

Unique color, eh?

One of my friends owns what used to be his dad's mid-60's Jaguar - Ocean turquoise with a matching headstock. Oh, how I'd love one of those old Fenders.

Love it, Rev!

And please let us know when you learn more about it/decide to sell it.

Tell me more about it, Rev. Refinish? SN indicates 1960 - what is the neck date?

Re: 62 Jazzmaster

Wow.

I read that in (1960, I think) - Leo found out that some employees were writing profanity rather than a date at the base of the neck - so there was a short period where no dates were on the necks while they were having the date stamps made.

Very nice, Rev. I wish I could take it off of your hands!

Not a problem Dice it will sell, although everything points to 1959 it could be a 60, I havent checked the guts out yet, I've got a few interested parties here locally, but I havent really put a pencil to it yet to see what I actually want for it. But it wont be cheap but at the same time I wont over price it either. It just needs a good home for a Fender lover.

I even have more pics if anyone here is is really interested.
