You got a beauty there Cold! Sometimes a run of the mill "look" guitar can just visually stand out among the crowd, and your does so in spades, even without the descripton, you can tell there is something very special about that axe from the other 10 biliion black/maple board strats out there.

Not sure.

But I just found out that if you turn down all the EQ knobs, you get no volume. Even if your vol. is on 10. Apparently this is common with Fender amps. I never knew since I always have some tone on all of them at some position or other. I thought my amp died. And then coincidentally enough, it died right after. Now I need to get it re-tubed.

Thanks brother, they sound killer too, the pups they use in the vibes are the real deal, nice bright alnico 3's on the 50's and slightly warmer midrangy alnico 5's on the 60's, the only bad components on those are the switch and pots, swap them out and you've got a winner for cheap!

Those come with Alnico 3's and Alnico 5's? Damn! If you look at my first post in this thread, that white Strat has an Alnico 3 in the bridge and an Alnico 5 in the neck, and they are some of the best single coils I have ever heard. I almost like them more than my Texas Specials which cost five times the price.

The blue one is a recent MIM Standard with stock Tex-Mex pickups, a Wilkinson three-saddle compensated bridge, and a GFS pearloid pickguard. I had to do considerable 'fitting' to make the pickguard work, but the bridge was WONDERFUL!!!
The sunburst one is a 1998 Nashville model with all the original pickups removed. I installed a set of Noiseless stacked humbuckers with a genuine Fender three-way switch, and a Genuine Fender aged pearloid pickguard.
The Esquire is a new Classic MIM model that I bought from Brett at Eddie's. I replaced the pickup with a Rumplestiltskin 7K model, and a Callaham black Bakelite example which is vintage correct, down to the 'paint can' on the back side.

The Super V is like a floyd that doesn't need to destroy your guitar's neck ??

Re: Your "Custom Shop" Fenders

1974 Musicmaster neck on an unknown origin Mustang body. Kinman woodstock pickups wired with a 3-way switch for neck / both in series / both in parallel.
