Guard choice for my Classic vibe LPB

Due to mistakes on my part, my thread (s) and poll got all convoluted and whatnot so I had flick put them out of thier misery.

Had a rare flash of a grand idea and asked "the strat guy" here, Scottystrathead and I beleive he's hooked me up with exactly what I want at a super fair price ( right at or cheaper than my other right off the web choices). Going with a white 57 with some of Scotties personal voodoo done to it, cant wait till it arrives! Thanks to all those who contributed to the other threads!

Re: Guard choice for my Classic vibe LPB

From my wanderings on the intraweb, "fender" makes a 56 and a 57, the 56's (the few i found) are pretty costly, thinner, straight cut and from reading very prone to warping and cracking, the 57's are a hair thicker, slightly beveled edges, and basically more robust and easier to work with. I'm not positive if I'm getting a 57 style or a fender branded 57 guard, I dont really care, I told Scotty what I wanted looks wise, what I disliked about the original, sent him pics, and he told me a 57 white would be best and he would alter it to get the end result I want, and for a super fair price. I'm pretty confident I'll be happy with it based on the work I've seen him do for others here, and I'm already cooking up a project for him when funds get flush again....light relic 60's shell pink sounds pretty tatsty....
