Fender Toronado

Anyone here play them? I have one and I am truely impressed. For the money this was darn right the best investment. It really shreds up and carries alot of tone without being twangy strat like. These Humbuckers are pretty good with loads of sustain. My only Complaint is there is a buzz. a definite buzz that stops when u touch it in the bridge. I thought it was a short, so i did bring it to a luthier, he chased it down for a short and didnt find one. He says the humbuckers are quite powerful, and the pots aren't the greatest, so some are noisier than others. Well if thats the case I can live with it, or I may get some nice pots and redo em. I kinda dont wanna mod the guitar, I have a feeling these will be collectors in the future. Beautiful red with the mini black pickguard.

Re: Fender Toronado

I played one a few years ago when they first came out and liked it. The neck felt really nice. I actually gravitated more towards the Fender Cyclone, just because the smaller body felt a bit more comfortable.

Re: Fender Toronado

I have one the wife found at a garage sale. It's that Gunmetal / white pearloid pickguard guard and shorter scale on rosewood with skunk stripe . On the back of the pups the Fender spaghetti logo is engraved . Tone caps in the cavity from the factory.

I really like the body shape and it's kind of an SG in disguise

It rocks !

Re: Fender Toronado

I have one of the American Special Deluxe's with the P90's. A real nice instrument.
