Re: Highway One Strat
That's a great looking Strat! Love the colour. I don't know much about Strats at all. Can you tell me anything about the Hwy1? Is it MIA? Frets? How's the neck. I've been offered one used for 600 but I won't get to try before I buy. Any help would be appreciated. BTW, where did you find it new at this price?

Re: Highway One Strat
Thanks Gunner!
The highway one is MIA but is essentially the lowest end of all American fenders. The frets are biggg and mine handles bends like no tomorrow! As far as the neck I'm not sure what info youd be looking for...It's what youd expect for a strat neck, 22 frets as opposed to the 21 you'll find on many mexicans, meaning you get that little overhang off the end thats about the thickness of a credit card...But thats not a big deal to me. I bought mine at AXE music in Edmonton, the sales guys didn't know why that particular guitar was priced cheaper, but it wasn't a second and i looked over every detail carefully and it was flawless..So i tried it out for about 30 mins and was perfect so i pulled the trigger. It would probably be better if you tried it before you bought, from what I've seen, highway ones can be really hit and miss, and I'd say I got reaaallyy lucky. But if you find a "good" one, they are exceptional, solid guitars especially for the money and I couldn't be happier with mine ![]() Good luck! |

![]() I think the rumour was that the Hwy1s were put together in the back of a truck on the Highway from Encinada to Corona. ![]() Oh and dennis, naughty naughty. ![]() Rick.
