My AWESOME NM Guitar Tele and Jr/Tele!
So Nick had these for sale a little while ago and I snatched them up with the quickness! (Nick, calling you tomorrow, I have something for you.)
See, I love Les Paul's but to me a Tele is a guitars guitar and to me my favorite to play. To me Tele's can do just about anything. From Sweetness to Balls out nasty with tone that is distinguishable that you are playing a Tele! Now, I don't know if anyone of you seen what Nick was asking for these but let me tell you that I didn't think twice about getting them (it would of been a serious kicking myself in the ass if I didn't and I knew it!). I was fortunate that I had his phone number programed in my phone! I called and got them both and when they arrived. I was feeling that I may have gotten the deal of the Century! No Joke!. These guitars are not only Custom Hand Made by Nick but they are what I look for in guitars. Not just a pretty face but a PLAYER!! These guitars oozes Play ME! Which I have been happily obliging! So Nick, I haven't had the time to talk to you this last few but THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! You need to be doing his forever... You have a talent to making real PLAYERS! Now, When I got this one it was a Standard Tele looking with a Tele bridge pickup and Nick's cool idea on burying a full Firewater Hum in the neck position under the pickgaurd. VERY COOL! Although I loved it like that. I wanted to have a Tele with a full on Hum in the bridge so some mods took place. I cut the tele bridge plate and routed for a hum and viola... Here is my monster NM Custom Tele! ![]() ![]() I experimented with a maple pickgaurd I made and liked it and it may go back on after I triple stain it see through black but for now, it's back to the white one which looks killer to me too. ![]() ![]() Now here's the crazy NM Jr./Tele that sounds so huge and weighs about 4lbs if that. This guitar sound amazing with some good distortion and just straight up riffing. I haven't touch this one except to wire it up like a true Esquire.. So other than the wiring, It is exactly like I got it including the cheap throw around pickup that Nick put in there which rocks. I ain't touching it. I like it! No, I love it! ![]() ![]()

Re: My AWESOME NM Guitar Tele and Jr/Tele!
You, Sir, are killing me. I saw these guitars probably an hour or so too late. I ended up with a G&L Tribute ASAT Classic, which, while a killer guitar in its own right, is not on the same par as what you picked up for similar $$. Enjoy them well.

I was surprised that no else got them. They were great prices and both one of a kinds with some of the most amazing necks. Nick told me that both of these necks are from the same piece of wood.

Well, yes and no. I don't think he takes orders. He mostly builds for himself. In fact, he built these two for himself but wanted to raise money for his replica that he is building himself so he sold these. Here's his website and build forum.
He's one of the coolest guys and an amazing builder! A Handkerchief Sandwich .com

Re: My AWESOME NM Guitar Tele and Jr/Tele!
Both of those look amazing!
I've got to ask, how does the pickup under the pickguard in the neck position sound compared to a traditional neck pickup? |

They both look incredible. I'm digging the Black Tele with the white pickguard. Very classy. Congrats.

Re: My AWESOME NM Guitar Tele and Jr/Tele!
i have been lucky to play these both. they are both killers! the neck pickup under the guard is cool. will did something with the mag in the pickup that really brings up the sound of the pickup under he guard and it cuts but has a great smokey jazz/blues vibe to it.
