Classic Series Cheaper than American Standard?
Buy Fender Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Electric Guitar | Solid Body Electric Guitars | Musician's Friend
Why is that? Are the Classic series not made in America?

Re: Classic Series Cheapter than American Standard?
Hmm, it said on the Aussie site it was made in California.
Which models are Made in Japan? Japanese made are pretty much as good as USA made I hear.

Re: Classic Series Cheapter than American Standard?
I'm pretty certain they are MIM. and I dont think any MIJ Fender's are actually sold here in stores, since they are intended for the Japanese market.

Re: Classic Series Cheapter than American Standard?
The classic 50's and 60's series comes out of Ensenada if thats how you spell it.I tell ya with an electronics upgrade this may be one of the best Fender has right now. They are pretty much a reissue without any nitro over top.

Re: Classic Series Cheaper than American Standard?
A guy who plays quite well saw my MIM Classic Esquire yesterday, and asked me if it was a Custom Shop model.
