After LP what's next Strat or Tele
O.K. so I have been playing my LP CS for a while and it is an awesome guitar.
However, as a second guitar and to add the most versatility to compliment my LP what should I get: 1. Fender Telecaster; or 2. Fender Stratocaster?

Re: After LP what's next Strat or Tele
Strat! You need to experience three pickups and the cool "In between positions" afforded by a five way toggle. A Tele is cool, but only offers two pickups. The Tele is the essential fourth guitar, not the second.
What's the third ? An ES 335 of course! Gotta have a hollow body. But that's beyond the scope of our poll.....

I have my LP, I have my Strat, now I want a Tele.
...so Strat's my answer as a 2nd guitar |

Tele! But see if you can find a nice Nashville Tele with 3 pickups to get the best of both worlds.

Also I see on the Fender web-site that the Nashville Tele got Guitar Player Pick Award "Editors Choice". Also thank you to everyone for all their awesome replies.

Re: After LP what's next Strat or Tele
Strat or SG. Get a double cutaway so you have easy access all the way up the neck.
Don't waste your time with a Fender. Go with a G&L. Far superior guitars and the last ones that Leo put his name on. The USA made G&L's are nothing short of astounding. If you have never tried a Pleck'd fretboard you'll be surprised at the difference. The import G&L's are every bit as good as any production Fender made anywhere and are a phenomenal value. |
