Finished David Gilmour Strat Now With High Res Pretty Pics

Ok so as I said I would take better pics.

This guitar started as a Squier which it no longer even resembles it.

Mods Done
Shortened the trem arm to 4" per David's Strat
New Single Ply Black Pickguard
New Knobs and Pickup Covers
New Maple Neck which I ambered, replaced the decals, and clear coated.
Stock Squier Hardware If it aint broke dont fix it
Stock Squier Body
RHFactor Blues Single Coil Pickups
Custom Wiring with Neck On Mod with a Push/Pull pot on the volume control
CTS Pots with Orange Drop Caps
Matching Dimarzio Cliplok Strap

Great build!

What Squier body did you use?

That short trem arm sure looks funky

I'm gonna start a DG strat build too, but I'm using this as a starting platform:

Or a Affinity strat. But those bodies are multiple pieces of wood.

This looks like the better option, even tough the neck is big 70s size.

Just so you know, most guitars have bodies that are made of multiple pieces of wood.

I wish they'd had electric guitars in cotton fields back in the good old days. A whole lot of things would've been straightened out.
