How is the Telecaster grounded?
Well as Teles are hardtails and they have no route under the bridge, how are they grounded?
I'm building a Tele (slowly, but getting the body pretty soon) and want to know how they're grounded, as I can't figure out a way to ground to the bridge (It will be a vintage style bridge). Any help? |

Re: How is the Telecaster grounded?
On Fender MIM classics which have no base plate pup they tie a wire into the ground wire of the pup. the pup ground goes to a metal ring and star washer, then the other wire on the ring goes to ground (pot) it is held in place by the pup adjust screw closest to the controls. So as to make contact with the bridge plate.
