Looks very cool...a single pickup Mustang?

But for the life of me, I NEED maple fretboards on my Fenders.
Dunno why.
They just look, oooky, otherwise.

Basically it's a reshaped Musicmaster--CBS era fender getting rid of parts they didn't use otherwise.

but if it works, and you like to play it--great.
It has a funky look that stands apart, and those so-called student fenders from back then were pretty cool--even after CBS took over...

Re: My Fender Swinger

Thanks for the posts! Yes the Swinger was a "floor sweeper" model The neck is a 22.5 scale Mustang blank

and the body was a left over Bass V body

You can see the rougt for the split pickup in the photo below the pickguard, bridge and electronic were from the Musicmaster.

Re: My Fender Swinger

I got this red one because it is looks like the one Tina Weymouth has.

Ben Kweller has a couple of Swingers.

Re: My Fender Swinger

If I had one, I'd slap one of my 24" scale necks on it... would be awesome.
