Vintage sunburst with gold hardware??
Hello everyone,
I found a used vintage sunburst (tobacco burst) with gold hardware and am wondering if anyone has an idea of what year or models (standard,custom, ect.) that the epi's came like this. I am awaiting the serial number and more info from the seller but wanted any input from everyone. I will keep updating as i receive info as this could possibly be my first LP!!!! |

Does it have binding on the front and back of the body? Block shaped inlays on the neck? I've seen Epi burst customs before - but not many. (and they would have gold hardware)
Ebay, or somewhere else? I'd be leery of Ebay unless you really know what you're looking at.

What Epi are you looking at.?
Most if not all Customs come with gold hardware, unless this was a special edition. Of course, the prior owner could have swapped out the original nickle hardware to gold.

just got off the phone with the owner. Its off of craigslist and he gave me the serial number here is the info.
Your guitar was made at the Unsung Plant, Korea August 1999 Production Number: 1378 I asked about the truss rod cover and it just say's gibson on it. He believes its a custom. I think Im going to get it!!! any ideas about the quality of this plant or year?? |

I'm thinking it's the Epi Les Paul Custom PLUS.
It's a flame top Custom in cherry sunburst or vintage sunburst. I have the Cherry Sunburst one.

I GOT IT!!! Its a beauty. needs a little work but it was the right price. $180 !!!I will post pics when i get it home and cleaned up. It ended up being a custom flame top vintage burst. It has grover tuners and stock pickups diamond pearl inlay in the headstock.
