ESP vs. Prophesy Les Pauls

I'm in a much heavier band than I've ever been in before so my low output stock korean epi 300 isn't pulling off what I'd like it to.

I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with prophesy guitars by epi. If anyone knows any quirks or just has their opinion on them, I'd be interested in hearing it.

Having said that, I've already paid for and ordered one of these:

ESP LTD EC-1000 FR Electric Guitar and more Solid Body Electric Guitars at GuitarCenter.com.

But if the epi's worth it I will definitely return it, and buy the epi. The GC guy said if I don't like it I have 30 days, and I don't care about restocking fees.

The esp is way better in my opinion.

Re: ESP vs. Prophesy Les Pauls

I played both extensively before settling on the Prophecy, mainly because of the price difference (at the time the EC-1000 w/o Floyd cost about 30% more than the Prophecy.) They're both great guitars, I found, and the FR will be a boon if you're playing metal now.
