Re: Pics of my UPGRADED trans amber! :)
ya overall im very happy with the guitar now and i really love the look of it now.... The iron gears are very good for the money, extremely good value. I love the rolling mill in the neck, very smooth and powerful but not muddy. The hot slag is as it says, VERY hot! Its a good strong crunchy pickup but im thinking now it might be a bit hot for my tastes. I'll leave it there and give it a good play over a few weeks and decide if i'll leave it in or get a rolling mill for the bridge but this is just me bein fussy! The jimmy page wiring im very happy with.... I really like having all the different sounds on tap, its a nice change! My USA strat is gonna be gettin a well deserved break now for a while anyway ha!! All in all tho im very happy!!

Looks great, am sure it sounds as well .... now, just ditch the ugly knobs for something a little classier to match the rest of your work

Heh .... whatever looks best to you.....the stock knobs may work just fine for you .... don't change to please any one of us, do it because you want to. I was just suggesting......I'm not a fan of the shape of the stock knobs, speed knobs just "feel better" to me.....I went with amber speed knobs on my honeyburst, looks good...to me

Hello,
I am new at the board and this is my first post. The epiphone les paul standard plus trans amber seems to have quite bride yellow. So you can't compare its colour with the color of the Gibson Les Paul Appetite for Destruction, can you!?!? ![]() Here are some pics of the AFD: http://www.themusiczoo.com/images/5-..._AFD_233_1.jpg Gibson les paul afd image by gvazquez25 on Photobucket PS: Sorry for my bad English. I am German. |
