Re: New member - Ltd Ed LP Question
Welcome!
That is a COOL looking Les Paul! I don't know anything about production numbers (would guess that they're LOW though!) VictorL has a green one (don't know if it has the bigsby, but its a sparkle) and he may have looked in to it some... |

Re: New member - Ltd Ed LP Question
Thanks diceman, I've seen 2 others on the internet in the purple flake finish, no bigsby though...is it true that with Epi Ltd Ed the production time is limited...not the number of guitars made?

Re: New member - Ltd Ed LP Question
![]() Speak of the devil, lol. Mine is also a 97', Korea, Ltd Ed stamp on the back. I really dig the pink and the Epi (bigsby style) trem; I've seen that model on ebay twice but without the trem. From what I can tell the series was called Ltd Edition 'colour' Flake Les paul whatever and they made them in the 90s till around 98'/99' I have seen green, blue and pink flake models. MVL.

Re: New member - Ltd Ed LP Question
Man that green finish is sweet, how much you get it for Victor???
I've seen Ltd ed in silver sparkle also without the bigsby, dunno if its the '97 run though, I wish Gibson/Epiphone would release production figures. Mines going in to my local luthier for new hardware next weekend, going to have a pair of Bareknuckle Mississippi Queens (the humbucker size P90s) fitted along with new hardware |

Re: New member - Ltd Ed LP Question
Hi, i have the same les paul as portable frank. ive owned it for about 4 years (bought it 2nd hand off a mate) and when i got it it was in a crappy state. i had to replace all the machine heads, got grover deluxes for it. The Bigsbys still missing though, might have to pay out to get one fitted, it looks to cool not to have one.
Just wandering how those bareknuckle pickups sound, portablefrank? and does anyone have a rough valuation, just out of curiosity? thanks, dan |

I ditched the luthier idea as a lot of guys have done stuff themselves...I replaced the nut and saddles today with some graph-tech ones i ordered and now she plays amazingly - i had all sorts of trouble with the intonation before. as for value...who knows, I paid £360 for mine new, it was made in '97 and i was the first person to own it in '03 - to me its priceless...
