MIK Epi, Gibson TRC, what is it?

Ok, I have been looking at this EPI a while on my local craigslist, and I finally got in contact over the phone with the buyer this morning. He said that it has a quilted maple top, the TRC cover says "Gibson" and he knows it was made in Korea. What do you think it's worth? What model is it? He is asking $325 OBO. He is also throwing in an EPI hard case...let me know...thanks!

It's a Korean Epi with a quilt top and Gibson written on the TRC.

Well, genius, how are we supposed to tell you anything about that guitar, or if it's worth $325, without seeing the guitar?

Anyway, there are nice MIKs out there and there are dogs out there. Same as with MIC Epis.

See, now that we have a picture, I can tell you that it's not a quilt top.
It's a birdseye top. Looks like a Standard to me.
If you like that top, it's a good buy at $325, given the guitar is in a decent condition.

It's Birdseye Maple....Birdseye referring to the pattern on the top, the "dot" pattern rather than a quilt or flame.

Birdseye Maple.. You either love it or hate it... Here's a pic of one I had..

on MIK's if the serial# starts with an S it was made in the Samick factory and should be(from the ones I've personally owned) a little nicer and more solidly built than the Chinese ones.... $325 with a quality hard case.. I'd buy it...I sold the one pictured here for $375..

Yeah, I don't know if i like the look that much, but the guitar definately sounds nice is what he said! Seymour Duncan 59ers should do the job...

We picked up a 2001 MIK Standard off CL for $300 with the OHSC

I can't speak for anyone else, but I find the spotty things the ugliest finish I've ever seen on a Les Paul. I wouldn't touch it even if they were going dirt cheap.
Well, I would, but I'd have to strip and paint them.
Seriously, they look ****ing horrible in the pics.
Someone said they don't look so bad in real life, and I can believe that- guitars like this never come out perfectly in photos.
But man, those spotty things look horrendous.
