I wish more companies could realize that just a the slightest bit of effort to show the customer they matter goes a long way. So here's my tale...
I emailed customer service asking for the part number for the Epiphone straplocks that came with my LP Tribute. I know how the routine works so I included my serial #, where I bought it, and all my contact info. Got an email back asking if they were missing when I bought it and stating that they were only available as a warranty replacement item...I couldn't order them. At that point I wrote back saying that mine weren't missing I just wanted a set for to order a set for my SG because I didn't feel like getting poked in gut by the more protruding straplocks that are generally available. So I figured that was that and I would just swap straplocks when ever I got around to it. But what do I find in my mailbox when I get home tonight? You guessed it... ![]() Can't really tell from the awesome cell phone pics, but it's pretty much just a Schaller with the knob cut off and an Epiphone logo "E" stamped in the end. I know it's really something very small, but it's something most companies wouldn't do even for a $5 part. I was definitely surprised. Now if only he would have sent me the buttons too. DOH!!! lol

I can't say it didn't cross mind, lol. I planned on placing an order with allparts tomorrow anyway. I think I can spare the extra $4 for Schaller style buttons.

Re: Epiphone gets an A+ for customer service
Are you sure they're Schaller style buttons? The strap-locks that came with my tribute are much more of a V shape than the Schallers with their flat lip. I've been on the lookout for some extra buttons, so I can use the Epi straplocks with my other Epis, but haven't spent too much time looking at the differences. The buttons on the tribute are definitely different to the buttons on my ZW and Studio, but they don't look like schaller-shaped buttons to me.

Re: Epiphone gets an A+ for customer service
So they are...I'll find something that works Chimera. I've got plenty of time to goof off online at work.
