Why does the Standard version for Gibson not include pick guards while that for Epi includes??

All the Gibson standards I have seen include a pick guard (although you can take it off of course, and some do). Where are you looking?

Re: Gibson Standard vs. Epi Standard

On their website, the standard plus tops are displayed without pick guards?

They don't drill the holes for them, but they do come in the case with the hardware. They want to show off the "Plus" tops.

Yeah right! The Gibson Standards dont have a pickquard on, but you can add one, because you get these inklusive!

Yes. They give you the choice if you want to put it on or not. Some of the new Standards have beautiful tops, you may not want to cover it, but you can if you want.
