Is vintage sunburst...and here is my guitar with good sunlight (No flash)...

And here my wicked flash!!!!!

Re: Do you KNOW vintage sunburst?

Yours is the only real "Fireburst" / "Triburst" Epiphone that I've ever seen - it looks friggin' fantastic.

Mine is a "Vintage Burst" - and looks more traditional than what you've got going on there.

Re: Do you KNOW vintage sunburst?

Does it actually have red in it, or is that just from the brown and yellow fading together?

I think the red comes from the mix of the 2 colors...but it actually looks like a red color at first look...much more red than the catalogs pics...

Look:

Yeah, it seems catalog pics are to be taken with a grain of salt (or something...). I've posted pics of my honeyburst several times in response to this point.......nothing compares to seeing it live and in person (or seeing a nice independent pic submmitted by a happy owner )

Re: Do you KNOW vintage sunburst?

Yeah, pictures from epiphone.com and other online vendors, the colors look weird. You have to see them in person to see the real color under normal lighting. I own a plain top honeyburst, and all the pics online for my guitar looks ugly! You would think Epiphone.com would have more accurate color pics for their guitars.
