Question Dirty fingers in my LP?

Hello guys, Im new here and I have a question.
Have patience with my spelling. Im a Swede. hehe.

I roll with a 2003 Les Paul Standard plus-top, and a 1996 G-400.
I recently ordered a Gibson Dirty Fingers pup.
Dont know which guitar to put it in.
Overall I´m more satisfied with the sound of my LP.
Maybe its a good idea to boost the sound of the G-400?

Please let me hear your opinions.

Re: Dirty fingers in my LP?

Answer the following questions.
Which guitar do you use the most?
Which guitar is your favourite?
Which guitar sounds better?
Which genre of music will the pick ups help you to play?

The Les Paul is better for playing the blues.
The SG is better to play music by AC/DC and similar.

I'd go with the SG, cause the pups you've mentioned are better for that type of music.

Now why would that be?
Because Gary Moore plays a Les Paul and Angus Young plays an SG?
Dude, you crack me up.

If you like the sound of the LP leave it alone, mod the SG.

Re: Dirty fingers in my LP?

Dirty fiingers probably would compliment your SG better, but still Im not a big fan of just replacing one pup. Ive always thought it sounds wierd unless you have two great pups in it, but if you like your les paul then go for upgrading the sg

I will put an black open coil epi pup in neck position just to make it look similar to the "dirty finger". I use the bridge pup 99% of the time so im not in a hurry to upgrade that one but someday there may be a burstbucker up there

Tom Delonge uses this pickup exclusively in his signature gibson; so you can only play Angels and Airwaves and newer Blink 182 with it.
