What model is this LP?
Ok, first of all, I have played acoustic guitars up until just last week. I finally decided it was time to get my first LP. I decided on a Epi over a Gibson for financial reasons mostly. And because I found this beauty online. What I do know is that it was made in Korea in 2000 and it has been modded, The tuners for sure(they are grovers, they were the vintage "E" tuners). Beyond that I don't know that much about Electric guitars, except this one sounds sweet and mellow or loud and crunchy. I have not one bit of buyers remorse. What I would like to know if any of you can provide some experienced opinions is what model it is and what it mightbe worth. Also is it a double A or Triple A grade top. What if any is original hardware on this baby.
Thanks For your help Lon |

Re: What model is this LP?
The older Epi's had Gibson on the TRC. I'll guess it's a Standard Plus top model. Good find, I'd say. Glad you like it!
If you want more info, I'd try Google Images, and/or wait for a more informed member to chime in. |

Re: What model is this LP?
+1 - It's single-bound, but the top is a lot nicer than your average LP Standard.
That's a good-looking guitar, BigD. I'm actually digging those Tele knobs on it, myself. - D

Welcome to the forums!
That's a Les Paul Standard Plus in Trans Amber. Looks like there's no original hardware left on that baby. Standards usually come with chrome hardware. |

Welcome to the forums, your guitar looks nice, and Shifty is a good source on epi's.

Re: What model is this LP?
Does it say custom shop or limited edition on the back of the neck? I had one of these and supposedly back when they were new the transparent amber was a special color hence the designation on the back of the neck. The gold hardware I'm 80% sure was not factory.

Re: What model is this LP?
Yes, we're aware that hardware can be changed. However, the OP says the headstock says LIMITED EDITION. Hence, it's not the average standard plus trans amber LP
