Epi Les Paul Hot Rod Flames, set neck, maple fretboard?
Hey,
Anyone know anything about a set neck, Epi Les Paul (ST LP?), Black with hot road flames, maple neck and fretboard, block markers? Sure I've seen one befrore, but I can't find any more info. It definitely isn't a special, as the neck is set. ![]()

I don't know about an Epiphone with flames and maple neck/fretboard.
You don't mean the FlameKat, do you?

I would like the maple board, but I'm not sure I could rock the flames.

Re: Epi Les Paul Hot Rod Flames, set neck, maple fretboard?
Yeah, I have been looking at the Albinos. Don't really need another LP style guitar. I'm more into multiple tones. Obviously I could mod it to split coils, or whatnot. But for the meantime, my Elitist LPC and my MIJ Strat handle most of what I have to do. The Digitech helps with the tones the axes can't create.

I'm not an expert on guitars. I thought the Epi's fretboard felt nice, being glossy. I was playing the Epi after playing an ESP with a quite glossy feeling ebony fretboard which I quite liked. I wondered if the Epi might have a similar feel but be cheaper. I did like the glossy fingerboard, but feel that otherwise the guitar was not an improvement on my Vintage V100. I preferred the general feel and sound of the £1495 ESP to the £499 Epiphone. I don't think anyone will be too surprised about that. It was on sale at Fair Deal Music in Birmingham, for £499. |

Re: Epi Les Paul Hot Rod Flames, set neck, maple fretboard?
Cheers Shifty and AT.
Bought one from a Cash Generator up here for an amazing £149...!!!!!!! Steal of the year at that price. The axe is superb. It has a switchcraft toggle, full size pots/caps, Gibson USA pups and mahogany/solid maple flame top (you can see the flame throught the decal). Neck is quite slim when compared to my Gibsons, but it's a peach to shred on. Just for the pups alone it was worth the price and it growls. ![]()
