Re: Push/pull pots?

It's basically a pot with a DPDT(double pole, double throw) switch. Think of an on-on toggle switch with 6 terminals, but instead of the actuall toggle you raise or lower the knob. It still works as a usual potentiometer of course.

Re: Push/pull pots?

I have push pull pots for turning humbuckers into "single coil"s. The are great for adding an extra switch without having to drill a hole on you guitar. Apart from coil splitting, they can be use for anything, they are just a regular pot that acts like a switch when pulled or pushed.

Re: Push/pull pots?

I've been meaning to get some info on push/pull pots recently.... So is it possible to wire them to have the normal 2 tones and 2 volumes but with just 2 pots?

Everything is possible, but in this case I'd rather use concentric pots.

Yes, its possible, but youll need a type of switch that I have not seen in a push pull pot.

Concentric pots are two pots stacked and require special dual knobs but can be wired up as you mentioned...
