Slash Signature pulled??

Has anyone else noticed, or does anyone know why the Slash Signature Epiphone seems to have been pulled from all the online retail sites??

My local Gibson dealer was surprised to hear that I had seen that model online, as to his knowledge, Henry hadn't officially signed off on it as of yet...

There is an add for it on the back of this months Guitar Player. Somebody must have jumped the gun.

there was also an ad in the March '08 of Guitar World... had Slash sitting on an amp playing the Epi Slash LP...

i haven't got mine yet, but apparently the April '08 of GW no longer has the ad... so...

I'm sure it WILL come though - pre-orders have been taken at musicians friend, whose catalog had a ton of pictures of Slash and the new axe.

Gibson must be too busy w/ this TC Group merge and relocating some of the offices to Europe to screw w/ the new Slash model right now.

Oh, it'll come through, but I wouldn't be surprised to see it come out at $799 like the Zakk Wylde sig.

It was around $1100 MSRP ($699 street) when it was first put on the GC and MF websites a couple months ago. The new street price will be about $1000, methinks (can't really go by the GC page, since they haven't updated the MSRP yet). Way to stick it the consumer, Gibson/Epiphone!

Yeah, their milkin' it...the demand is probably HUGE considering all the "new fans" due to that guitar video game. Little bastards who've never heard of GNR probably now know Slash from the video game. Whatever...I think I'm just jealous cuase I'll never be able to afford one of 'em Slash sig LP's.

10 years ago during the Korn/Limp Bizkit phase, I remember telling my friends about Slash, and they'd tell me "Slash ain't shit." Ptfff. Great to see Slash back/still on top.
