Talking My epiphone post pro-setup

Hi,

I got to pick up my Les Paul on Friday from getting a pro set-up. It was at my local guitar center, the tech they have there is real good. It looks brand new, the fret board and inlays especially. A few questions though. The main problems I had with it was fret buzz and tuning issues. The buzz was around the second, third and fourth fret, its still there, but only if I strum with some force, if I strum normally its gone (think thats normal). Theres buzz on the twelth fret, dont know if its exactly 'fret buzz' but its not really a big problem. The tech put new strings on it and theyre still stretching and stuff, can this be the problem?

I would imagine the problem to be uneven frets. Either that, or the action needs to be raised a bit for your tastes. There's not one setup for everyone, despite what many people think.

well the fret buzz with force is normal, the strings ring in an ellipse shape, and so wen that becomes a large enough ellipse, it will hit the frets.

Yeah I was looking at it and I think I figured it out. The bridge was almost flat with the top of the guitar, I raised up the left side and the buzz is gone, I was happy. Thanks for the input

yeah, but now you gotta re-intonate and in the future have to readjust the truss rod (but I seriously doubt it) lol. Theres about 100 million thing that must be in perfect sync at the same time for a setup lol. Move one thing, and it throws everything else off... pain in the ass
