Stock EPI strings

Does anyone know which brand of strings come stock on an EPI Standard Plus? I just got a new LP this week and these strings just don't feel right to me. Are they just Chinese junk?

Regardless of their origin, if they feel like junk to you Id slap new strings on it ASAP and not worry about the other strings

Re: Stock EPI strings

The strings that come on mine are so bad that I change them before I even check it for dead frets or fret buzz. I would never consider doing a setup on my guitars with the stock strings. They're absolute garbage!

.....And they just "feel" weird!

Re: Stock EPI strings

I do not know which is the brand but the stock strings on my Special II seemed really crappy to me, even if I can not be called an expert.
I kept them on a few days but had to replace them.

But I can not put the blame on them, a set of good strings would cost 6% of the total value (commercial...) of the guitar, they can not be good strings.

Bye

Alessandro

That's exactly what I was thinking.... They just feel weird! I dont have much to compare them to other than my Fender Strat with Fender Bullets.. In any case they are outta there asap!! I'm not gonna get into a "what type of strings do you recommend" thread.. I think dennisthetruckdriver would snap on me... Like I've seen him go off on others that brought that up!! haaaa

Re: Stock EPI strings

Doesn't matter if the strings are 2 days old or two years old. They will sound the same assuming no one has played one them. The only reason string plays need to change strings often is because of the sweat, grime, and other stuff that gets on them while playing. Think about how often you need to restring a piano

I thought they would be susceptible to oxidation if left untouched? I could be wrong though
