Epi Slash LP Goldtop Pickgaurd question

I know its possible for me to remove the pickgaurd, but is there a magic guitar spackle coating I can use to cover the holes that will be left?

OP, you can put the screws for the pickguard back in their respective holes. Just in case you change your mind and you want to put the pickgaurd back on.

I've got a solution! Go to the guitar store nearest you and buy a guitar that they havent already installed the pickguard on! haha... definately ineffective cost wise but... It'll get the job done.

Slashfan listen bro. I have heard of some people putting toothpicks in the holes to fill them. I dont like that idea. Me I just put the screws back in the holes man. After a couple of days you forget there even there and you guitar looks just fine. Here's an older pic of my guitar before I changed out the knobs but it shows the screws from the pick guard. Hope this helps. Dont let the guys bother you man, we just like to have fun. Especially with pick gaurd threads.

I leave the screw in the hole at the top, and the one for the side tucked away with the guard.

FYI guys.. I Dont know if the MOD's take to kindly to talk about pills and booze. You do what you want, but I just dont think that's nessisary or appropriate discussion for the forum even in a joking context. Pickguard off!! I have the same guitar and as soon as I got it home, I took it out of the box and removed the pickguard haha...

Sure ya could with any small amount of wood filler, putty etc. something paintable. Finding the right / closest match maybe a problem. I would find the paint first. or just a gold thats close. Testor model paint ?
