I emailed this guy a couple days ago to see if he would do a local pickup since I'm in town and he was cool with that. I think it's real or he might not want to let me come over and inspect before I trade my cash. It is a good price if it stays below 600.

Maybe the dots kept getting placed wrong because of the decal and so they just made it part of the G so it couldn't go anywhere. If it's going to look awful might as well look uniformly so.

That's the nice thing about being able to go pick it up. I have the same guitar but it's a 2007. The back of the head stock probably looks like it does because trying to take a picture of a white guitar against a dark background is going to cause the white to bloom. BUT, if I happen to bid and win, I sure will be giving it the once over.

That's not my Guitar. I just posted the pic to compare with the Studio in MyChemicalRomanceFan's Ebay Ad. I thought the headstock shape of the Studio in the ad looked wrong. Could just be the angle, though.

My undercover skills obviously wasn't good enough to keep him talking, like "what's your home address", i think the first answer was pretty clear cut admission of guilt though. Interesting thing i noticed about some of the guitars though, they are getting better at it, they have now started using 2 screw TRC's, the pickguard screw has moved and 2 of the knobs were pointing correctly but they forgot to move the other two lol. Oh and some smart person placed the RHYTHM/TREBLE plastic circle on upside down.

This is the same people as the other site i reported, the website design is of a very similar style and a lot of the wording is the same, i reported this website too if you didn't do it already. I saw on the other site they had Gibson LP Robot's for some ridiculous price too, my guess is it that the only thing different about that fake is one of the control knobs looks like it has the options for doing all the funky stuff the real one does.

Look at some of these guitars....one or two look suspect but I don't know enough to be sure. Should those pots be so high from the body? Looks like my epi (having made the mistake of using Gibson Long Shaft pots to replace the standard parts)

I have heard occasionally you can get a good one, but still not as good as Epi. However most of them are just absolute dogs. Things falling off, paint chipping, horrible woods used. I think someone got a plywood Les Paul that was fake.

Jett: it looks real. However, sounds like an LP300 because of he says the serial is bolted to the body by a plate. It means it is a bolt-on neck. Real? Probably. A real example of a "58-59 spec" guitar? No.

Advice: pass.

Those are pretty cool guitars from what I hear. And that is a nice top. But I do think he wants a bit much. He may not understand it's a bolt on, but still.
