Is this fake?

but I want to make sure.

It's a 2005 Custom but doing a google search the headstock doesn't look right. The TR is shorter.

Thats a close call. Off the cuff, Id say fake, but more pics are needed. THe knobs look off, but that could be the angle of the pic and the headstock inlay looks funny for the same reasons.

to me it looks fake because the open book headstock, it seems a little too sharp and squished, but im no expert. have you run the serial number through the tracker on the website?

It's not an open book headstock, an open book headstock does not have the clipped corners.

i know. i meant the part modeled after the gibson open book in the middle. a normal epiphone the cut seems a little more shallow

Its easier to sell to people who are not as educated. Someone spending over two grand on a Gibson is more likely to know the difference as opposed to some high school kid looking tospend their earnings from their part time job at Starbucks on a guitar. Easier targets.

Hey new here..used to hang around Epi Forum...!!

To me it looks all right, Diamond logo looks full on it's all right.. the Logo seems good as well and that circle you've made on the selector it's probably because you didn't see the selector's plastic thingie.??. that's because the one who owns has taken it out..the photo is very small but it all looks authentic..a larger photo might help a bit more...
