Never seen a blue plain top. Is it a burst type finish usually found on the flames, or a straight up deep blue?

Its a plain top plus. and a burst type finish. like blue to white. not manhattan blue, like the robot.

Plain top plus? A plain top is plain maple...plus top is figured like cali's pics. Which by the way are very hot! Almost a solid blue....(I'd ditch the guard though) very hard to find, like the solid amber epis, I was on the hunt for the longest for one of those.

Epi I searched forever for and only found one that looked close, but failed all my initial keeper tests from the getgo....one day I'll either have an epi like it, or a gibby.....or if I'm lucky, a lightly Dave jhonson aged Rist .

She's currently been through a lot since then. Black Gotoh bridge&tail. Some ToneMojo. Those pickups soon. Hopefully before too long a set of all black Kluson Gibson style tuners.

She's a beaut!! The black hardware isnt my thing....I'd go lightly aged nickel all the way with some vintage klusons, but thats just me. Whered you find her? 95% of all the trans ambers I came across were bursts, and not what I was looking for.

They got me 6...first 5 were all bursts....and finally the last one was a solid amber.....and while beautiful....a real POS.....really loose frets, chunk of an inlay missing, and no tone unplugged....it was just dead, the sales guy was giving me a hard time, the tech that tried to set it up for me said he wouldnt sell it to his worst enemy, it was just a lemon plain and simple. Tried a couple times from sweetwater, they had one with supposed pics of the guitar thay were to ship me online....and it wasnt, tried to order a couple more times from various local places and no dice.

I love this thing. She sounds great unplugged. I've been playin her a lot with out an amp. Mainly cuz the kids are usually in bed when I am trying to play. More recently cuz I don't have an amp. But if I do part with her(which I doubt sorry) I'll let you know. She's got a lot of $ rapped up in her. But I did keep all the stock parts.
