Epiphone Les Paul Special II with Floyd Rose
Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to equip a Floyd Rose bridge on a Epiphone Les Paul Special II... And if so... Which pickups should I use for metal/heavy metal... As I'm mainly using this guitar for metal... Errr... And if possible I hope the pickups are passive though... Sry fr all the trouble dudes... Thnks!

Why bother? That seems like a lot of work.
The Floyd would be worth more than the guitar.

I dunno man, eh... That'll include some of precise routing, and it's not worth the hassle. You'd need to upgrade everything else on the guitar too, so why not just get a better guitar that comes equipped with a Floyd Rose with the money, or build your own? Much easier to do it right from the start than modify a guitar that's been designed for another technology.

I think there are models of Epi that ended up with Kahlers and steinberger tremolos straight out of the factory but I've not seen one in a long while.

dude coming from another special 2 owner,
I wouldnt bother and get a guitar worth upgrading........ That said, i have plans of emg's (passive) and upgrading the wireing etc. I guess we just love the shape, What the heck go for it, it can all be trasnfered to a better guitar in the future..

Thanks fr all the replies... But, I really love the Les Paul shape too much though... Tad's mainly why I wanted to have mayb a Special II with Floyd Rose or maybe better yet a Epiphone Les Paul Studio or Goth Studio with a Floyd Rose bridge and maybe EMG-HZ pickups in them too...
