Yeah, just about all the Epis I've seen on Ebay are fakes. There aren't as many Gibson fakes on ebay because people spending that much on a guitar are gonna be a lot more careful. Before I bought my Epi I bidded for one on ebay, thank goodness I got outbid because later on I found out it was a fake. I'm never going to buy a guitar on Ebay, to me paying the extra price at a shop is better than the risk of getting a fake.

Hello all, relatively new here, my Epiphone isn't as nice as everyone elses, just a plain top, but I enjoy playing it.

Oh, plain tops are just as cool as stripeys. I'd say cooler, but it's all a matter of opinion. Look at the really old LPs, from the 50s. Most of them didn't have stripes.

Re: Show Off You're Les Paul!

Heres the new Epi Les Paul Custom "chrome". Kinda like the "John Sykes" Gibson LP. Its a Custom LP with everything chromed. These pics are from a few I snapped yesterday as soon as we got home.

I'm not passing judgement or anything, but insted of smashing it, it would have been really cool to donate it to a young person starting out. I know I would have loved a Les Paul when I began playing, even if it was a fake.

Even a person who is starting out deserves a decent guitar. He did the right thing!

I am with Shifty on this, unfortunately part of the PP refund process was that I had to destroy it and I had to provide a legal declaration under threat of perjury to confirm it had been destroyed and disguarded. As such I had to kill it, but on the plus side it is one more fake outta circulation and heck it was most satisfying smashing up a guitar - a first for me

silverburst custom and one of the new studio deluxe in wine red (i read that removing the pick guard would increase sustain, but taking the poker chip off is what really put it over the top )
