pickups off epiphone g -400 to Epiphone les paul

What is the difference between them. Can I put them on epi les paul?

My guess that they are the same. Take a look at the back of them, mine have stickers with the name of the pups. You CAN put them on your les paul with no problems.

perhaps there is a difference in the signal or power? can they put all the guitar the same pickups?

what year is the G-400? if its pre-1999 i wouldnt do anything with those pickups but throw them away.

the pickups are prob the same ones in each guitar. take them out and look. all 4 of them should have a label on the back saying what they are.

Doesn't matter much, they used the same pups in the SG and LP. The Dot is the only one that got different pups (it got a Epi '57 in the neck and the bridge).

Any sound difference you're hearing is probably the difference in tone wood/thickness of the SG vs. the LP

some les pauls were made in Korea

The pups are supposed to be the same...but they aren't. Some have more output than others, and some just sound flat out better than others. It also doesn't seem to have much to do with years or what not.

PS: If your guitar was made after 2004, it was made in China.

what does the "R" and the "H" stand for?

I was once going to switch my epi humbuckers on a studio w/ pickups that I had mistakenly bought that were from a Sheraton. & I had read that epi will sometimes get their stickers messed up. Anyways the the bridge & rhythm stickers were complete opposite on the guitars, so were the red/black cables alongs w/ the "R" & "H".
I just left that alone
