07 Epiphone Japan limited LQ

Our member ZeroGravity bought a MIJ with an Epiphone headstock with an Epiphone name that looked like an Elitist, a diamond inlay that suggest its a regular Epiphone but **drumroll** it has a stamped MIJ S/N behind the clear coat and a long tenon.

We need answers as to what Epi that is... make a vote!

I really don't know what to say ... I love how the Epiphone inlay is, but that diamond inlay is just so so so small!

I think it is a very interesting fake, has some great features that just don't belong together.

It is not that far fetched that they would attempt to fake the Elitists as they get incredible reviews and are sought after prizes, but the regular issue Epi headstock is just a red herring.

Gibson thinks it is fake, most of us that saw the pics are pretty sure it is a fake, a great one but still fake nonetheless.

(there was a Gold (fake) Elitist here the other month - correct headstock, but was all gold (metalflake) and didn't have the logo on the back of the neck.)

Pretty scary... it HAS started!

Indeed. The worst has come... they finally caught on. Another fake still left hanging is Vlad's LP.

That sure looks killer but still quite unsure about it. But they all do look great and I'm sure if it plays great, then it doesn't matter what we think.
