As part of the Ace Frehley Budokan promotion, those that ordered the guitar were promised an eagle sticker just like the one Ace had stuck on the back of his guitar. Many people did not recieve the sticker with the guitar. I for one did not. I called my Sam Ash rep. He responded in a very timely manner and said that the Epiphone employees forgot to pack the stickers, and now they are trying to locate them. The Epiphone rep tells the Sam Ash rep that they are going to try to resolve within two weeks by sending us all an eagle sticker!

I can live without it as well. But, the fact is that Epiphone made a big deal about the sticker being re-created, etc, etc,. And then they did'nt even mention it when they knew no one recieved it. Personally, I can't let things go like that. lol. Had they acknowledged the screw up, I would have let it go. But now I am all over them!

Well, I did order a sticker to affix to the pickguard of my Lester.

I had to custom design the biznatch too.

Just waiting for it to arrive.

I have five packages coming in the mail...two CDs, a book, a truss rod cover, and my stickers.

I'm kind of at the point where Amazon needs to assign a delivery driver to me.

I was talking with a music store maven in St. Louis awhile back...he tried to convince me to start shopping locally for CDs again...

I'd love to, but I get so much better service online and after my whole working life has been providing customer service in one way or another, it's kind of important to me.

What's the path here to getting stickers that weren't included? Contact Epiphone directly or go through the seller?

Anybody got a pic on exactly where it's affixed on Ace's guitar? I'd like to get the position/placement close.

Of course, I'm only putting it on after a make a million-dpi scan of it in case I need to make another one someday...

Yup, I called the number and they took my name, serial number, and shipping address. Gibson said as soon as they get them, they will send the sticker. They are also sending me a second pick guard. I took it off at lunch and the smoothing cut on the back looks like a 3rd grader did it.

I got an e-mail from Gibson yesterday saying that they have taken my submitted name, address, & phone number, & they will mail out the missing sticker(s) when they arrive.

So...at least that's something I guess.

It could have just been the 2 Gibson guys I talked to, but they said they couldn't process the sticker request without the serial number from the guitar. I said "does this mean you've entered me into the warranty database too?" and he said, "nope, just for the sticker".

Not an 'I told you so' but everyone who sent the email should call if you want this thing like I said above. They told me without the serial number, they wouldn't fill the request. I asked if I could order the sticker for my 2nd Budokan (before it arrived) and they said 'not without the serial number'. Don't take the chance and just call.
