Lets see your White Les Pauls!

I was just taking a couple photos of my twins - since the only other pix I have of them together has my 2 year old's beach ball in the background! Anyways, I have somewhat of an obsession with White Les Pauls ever since my 1st Gibson Studio when I was 17 years old, and, unfortunately, there's no cure for my sickness..

There's something about the White Paul that I love - maybe its the way the white shows its character so well - it yellows and ages - less than gracefully I might add - and lets you know where its been - smoky bars and practice spaces... I appreciate a beautiful flamed top or burst as much as the next guy, but the Alpine White Les Paul sure tells you its story, all you have to do is look!

Lets see your white Les Pauls!
My Epiphones: Elitist Custom (stock, and still bone white!) and Custom (with Duncan Distortion in the bridge position, and Tonepros bridge - this one is yellowing beautifully!):

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

And I can't leave out the one that started it all... She had some character - dings and discolored spots - I'd give my left leg to have this one back!

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

Hiya Coop! - Great lookin' Paul - you're kind of a celebrity I guess, because I've already seen your videos! Months ago, I was doing searches on Youtube for Epi's, and I was like "wow - this guy loves his Epi's!" Great vids and excellent collection. There's a lot to be said about Epiphone when guys like you who could obviously afford some Gibsons would rather have a slew of Epi's.

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

Well....... the problem is..... I kept coming across these really great deals on Epiphones. So I kept buying 'em.

Fortunately they're all very good and I have no problems with any of 'em.

I'd rather have a bunch of Gibsons.... but I'd rather have several nice Epiphones than 1 awesome Gibson.

And the reason for that is I play out 2 - 4 nights a week and I like to rotate guitars to reduce fretwear. Cause I wear out frets BAD!!

CS - of course Gibsons count!! Mine (well, was mine!) is up in post #2!!

Beautiful Les Paul! It was between the Classic White Gibson and the Alpine White Elitist for me - a very tough choice!

I hope you're smoking plenty of cigars or cigarettes around her They LOVE it!!

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

I couldn't wait 30 years for the white to age so I bought one already yellowed... lol.

Online pic of the guitar:

Shitty cam pic of mine

Will get an updated picture of the whole guitar when I have time. Changed to a graphtec nut and also switched to Dimarzio's cliplocks. Rest all stock..

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

Really nice guitars, though i'm more of a black or wine red Custom guy. There's no denying those white LP's are awesome, specially like the Elitist Custom up there diceman.

The aged white one looks really cool too.

Re: Lets see your White Les Pauls!

Ok I'm sold on the keystones.... but thats prolly one of the last I'd upgrade since the stocks on both the standard and custom stay in tune just fine for weeks on end.

Thanks! Very glad you like it! I wanted to model the guitar after Buckethead's LP, but I ran into some paint problems..so I went with the White,Gold, and Creme theme.

Thanks I.T.E. - Epiphone scored a huge home run w/ the Epi's - I highly recommend them to LP fans on a budget.

Thats what I'm talking about! A "WHITE BEAUTY!" I'll bet that triple pickup setup rocks!

I'd much rather have a "white beauty" than a "black beauty" - the white is so CLASSIC!!! Thanks for sharing!

Just sweeeet... I'm actually thinking of getting a wine red custom and an antique ivory standard if there was one just to match the two epi's i have..

Or heck a Gibby wine red standard and a Gibby antique white custom...
