Difference between old les paul custom and new pro?

Hey, this is my first thread and im sorry if im being an idiot or something but last year i brought a second hand epiphone les paul custom (alpine white), ive already done all the checks to see if its real and all seems to be in order, the guitar was made in 2004 in a korean factory but my main question is whats the difference between my guitar and the new "pro" models? this is completley out of curiosity :L

Not a lot is different (some of the pros here can help add to this), but from what I can read on these guitars; the pick-ups are Probuckers, not Alnicos, and a maple veneer top.

Again, some other guys may be able to clarify on some other differences for you.
Rhust likes this.

Probucker 2 in the neck, Probucker 3 in the bridge and coil splitting with push/pull volume pots. All Mahogany, no maple cap.

The Unofficial Wiki shows Customs having a maple cap. That is not true for all Epiphone Customs, the only maple on my Custom Plus is the veneer, the cap is the same "mahogany" as the back. The only other Custom I have ever checked personally was a 2007 Qingdao Ebony, the top was "mahogany" as well.

The Epiphone website for the now discontinued Custom lists it as having a full "mahogany" body and cap.

The only differences in current Custom Pro's and the later Qingdao Custom's are the ProBucker Pickups and push/pull pots.

The Custom Pro is also listed as having a Maple Veneer Top, not sure what to make of that as they are only available in Ebony and Alpine White.
