I thiink you should try to be more of a resource, someone could file on you with the FBI for cyber-stalking, document the fakes but people that don't do their own homework or who are looking to score a "killer deal" should pretty much realize that by being cheap they are going to pay in the end. When do you cross the line from doing good to harassment?

That's what wrong with the world now, too much spoon feeding and not enough intelligent thought from individuals.

Its not going to go the way it did before- something on the scale of once a week at large quantities and posting that in the forums as an education tool. Sin and I both know not to get into the "Ebay Police" mode, it didnt work. I just want to use it to keep people informed. Sin and I spent WAY too much time on this before. Not gonna go down that road again. At least not me anyway.

I think it's great that you want to help everyone out. But, for every person you save from getting a fake, five have already got that great deal. I would say, let the fake post grow and if you want to help great, if you don't I understand fully.
You can only try to teach the people who want to learn, some just want to save a buck.
The best thing to do is NOT TO BUY FROM EBAY.

If I do this, I will not have any one expecting me to do this. I will do it when I feel like it. I have other people expecting me to do things far more important
-Teachers
-Friends
-Parents
-Band Mates
-Teachers
-Guitar
-Did I mention Teachers?

So if I do this, if anyone complains that I am not doing a good enough job, or anything I will stop immediately and go back to what I was doing before, just by having people bring up questions if it is fake or real.

No problem, Sin. Ive already posted my "Fakes of the week", so youre off the hook for as long as you like. You dont even have to do anything if you dont want. This was just to gather people thoughts on the issue. And I already know its once a week for me.

I beleive it's helpful, and I would imagine ebay would not have a problem knowing about fke instruments being auctioned on their site. However, do they actually care? It seems as if ebay is "buyer beware" anyway, so if someone is selling a fake whatever, it is mostly all the same to ebay.

I think the benefit in your efforts are enjoyed here on MLP and we all ought to be respectful to your time and energy in taking this on. I know that I don't have enough knowledge to do what you can do, but that I have learned much from your posts.

Thanks, and I vote for you to continue on your own terms and to let us know when to let up on you both.
