Did Epi ever sell Les Pauls with blank trc's ???

A guy selling one on eBay (honeyburst plus-top), stamped "2nd" or "used" (no shot of back of the headstock) Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus Top Electric Guitar - eBay (item 400001447018 end time Oct-14-08 14:47:01 PDT) and the trc is plain blank !!!!! Can't say as I've ever seen one come that way, I dunno.....I ain't interested in buying, but it caught my interest. I asked him and his reply was "Some of them have blanks, some don't"

...... I've never seen one blank, but whatdoIknow ???

Maybe I'm not right, but the "Epiphone" on the headstock looks suspiciously.

the Truss rod cover looks like it has been replaced... everything else looks real, from what I can see.

Cool top on it.

I've seen some - not many - TRC's that were blank...nice guitar though

Could be totally real.... I wasn't cryin' "fake," or anything, was just wondering as I'd never seen a blank trc. Yeah, indeed the trc could've been replaced, I guess...

Ya I know, just lettin' ya know. If its a 2nd or Used then there is no tellin bout the truss rod. If you like it go for it. That is a sweet woven flame top, thats the kind of top you see on all those LE Flametops.

i was going to say you can easily clean off the lettering, but it looks like it has plastic on it still. mybe its a second because it didnt have writing on it. lol

My Elitist came with a blank TRC, although if I look closely I can see the word gibson on it....kinda odd, but it came that way brand new from MF....
