I didn't figure I needed a case to walk the 150ft from my detached garage/office to the house but obviously I do!

I might get crucified for this but....
Trouble is - unless its a replica build - I HATE when folks relic guitars.

If a person wants to make a guitar look like it has been played for years and aged over time - Just play it for years and let time do what it does!

Thanks everyone for all the suggestions!
I think I am just going to leave it the way it is.
Maybe cover up the naked wood like some have suggested.

I am definitely keeping things in the case while walking outside from here on out!

Get a couple good wall hangers, leave them in the office, drink as much as you want!

...and invite me!

Re: Epi LP Studio Silverburst damage: To repair or not?

Carefully sand down those wood splinters, it looks a little rough on the horn. Then do the black nail polish trick. It is pretty difficult to successfully patch a poly finish, so just hide the bare wood.. Also, take it to guitar center and have the control cavity looked at to make sure the wood isnt cracked, and is structurally sound. But, dont beat yourself up dude. It happens, and I would rock the shit out of it!! Even though I really dislike Nickelback, this video may help ease the pain..

I would leave it as is, the money and time spend on repairing it would be better off spent on a CL find or new guitar from your local guitar shop - its not that bad
