Well, Isn't that Special!?
Got one of the $129 P-90 Specials.
![]() ![]() ![]() It's really cool for teh cheapest guitar I've ever bought. Plays very nice! Great neck. Pickups sound remarkable -but they have no name. Blank black bricks with brass bottoms. To say it plays as good as my Gibson SG Special would be a lie but it hits a good 80% of the feel and has a thick slab 2 piece body instead of being a laminate...(does have a veneer top and bottom) Not your average cheapy.

Re: Well, Isn't that Special!?
It screams! It stays in tune!
I could smash it all over the stage and never worry, but I probably won't cause it's f#ckin' cool!

Re: Well, Isn't that Special!?
''it stays in tune''? Then it's a really special ''Special'' because my Special SG simply... won't!
![]() Congrats! Cool score there and a great platform for a project, if you're into that. |

Re: Well, Isn't that Special!?
I am thinking of getting a Squier Stratocaster as a second guitar, looking for something to play around with that has single coil pickups. Would this be a good alternative instead. Keep in mind that I am a raw beginner...
