Sorry this post is more happening than over on the USA side. So I am reposting.

Alright I picked mine up yesterday. Will get some pics up. Guitar is great but I don't like the machine heads. There is some initial slop when you tune strings. It is like the plastic does not sit right on the shaft. I am probably going to swap them out and save them. I love the pickups and the finish is awesome.

I met Tommy Thayer yesterday and he said he has an Epiphone Sig model coming out this summer. It will have a silver sparkle top.

he's a poser, could care less if he wore the make up or the ank or dressed like a kfc chicken. black and blue sucked ass, his efforts on phsycho suck blew, and sonic shit is paint by numbers ace rip offs of frankenace solos moshed together to call his own. He could have some integrity at least for his solo spot in the shows and do something he came up with, u know something original, but he still bites off ace's riffs exactly.

I initially hated the idea of Tommy masquerading as Ace, but I have to admit he is a really good guitar player. You can sense his admiration towards Aces style and he is probably living his dream, to be Ace. Remember, it wasnt HIS idea to wear the make-up, it was Paul and Genes. I would have rather seen Tommy (or Eric for that matter) to come up with their own characters but it is what it is. Tommy has always been around Kiss mainly because Gene basically gave Black N Blue their start, and eventually became a Kiss road manager and guitar tech for Ace. He (Tommy) was an obvious choice for the band. I think he emulates Aces playing to a T and I would rather have Tommy play Aces riffs than some other guy who doesnt have the kind of long term relationship with the band. Did you hear Tommy doing New York Groove??? pretty impressive...now again, I was totally against the notion of someone filling in as Ace, but it is what it is, and TT is pretty darn good at what he does, like him or not.

The tuners on my Budokan also have "backlash" in them. I have to downtune a 1/2 step and back up to get the slop out. I'm not a fan of grovers, only 2 of my 15 guitars have them.. (Budokan and Epi SG)
