Early bday present
On Monday (almost 2 years to the day that I sold my gibson lp standard faded) I decided to buy myself an early bday present.
It was high time I got myself a decent guitar as since I sold my gibby (purely for financial reasons!!!) I have been playing an awful telecaster copy that my brother lent me.As much as I appreciated his kindness I probably could have made a better guitar myself!!! I have not owned an Epiphone before and I have to say that I am very impressed with all aspects of my new guitar. Lookswise it is certainly exactly what I was looking for. Above all else though it plays really well and I have struggled to put it down for too long since I got it Monday. Now that's my kind of LP - looks great. Second shot in particular shows a nice but understated grain pattern in the top and the darkback/binding contrast. Congrats and Happy Birthday!

congrats on scoring a nice Epi, very cool bro'!
Like you, I've gotten rid of quite a few Gibsons as well [LP Deluxe Sunburst, Gibson SG Std in ebony, Les Paul Studio in alpine white], only to make it up with my trio of cool Epis in my arsenal, I'm very happy to have them

Dicky, you made a great choice man. That's so classic looking...no pun intended! But she really is gorgeous. Seeing how you can't keep your hands off of her, she must have come to you with a pretty good setup, huh? That's kool! So, when your fingers get tired and want a break, post back and give us your thoughts on the pups.
