CTS pots & Allparts reflectors

My guitar had CTS pots fitted but 2 were serving nothing but an aesthetic purpose (after I killed them) so I ordered 4 CTS pots, 2 linear and 2 audio vintage style. The reason for the vintage was because allparts uk were out of stock of 'normal' audio.

Ermmm...

Wasn't expecting a difference in height considering they are the same thread length

So anyway, I soldered the grounds and caps to the tone pots and fitted them and they are different to the CTS audio pots I fitted a few months ago. I left one pot in for a comparison. These audio pots weren't purchased from allparts but are CTS.
Luckily, audio taper pots were back in stock at allparts so have ordered some and hope they will be the same height.

The amber knobs I bought a while ago (don't know the brand) have a monster gap underneath but, whilst ordering the pots I ordered some allparts gold reflectors and they fit nicely with a perfect gap and look pretty good too Went to order volume....out of stock

The old ambers ones on the lower pot.

Weird how I'm the first poster when this thread was made in 2008! Nice mod you did. How does it sound?
