conversion carved to slab anyone tried to?

all in the title

just wondering if anyone has removed/cut down/sanded down the carved top to a slab bodied with set neck guitars

People have done it to fake Epiphones...

It isn't that hard though the amazing construction paper qualities just couldn't hold up against 3 drops of water.

Its called a planer, ask someone to use theres. Ill see you in two years when you finish with the orbital sander.

I have seen carved tops placed onto slab tops but not vise versa...

I can only ask "why?", and sincerely. That'd screw the neck angle all to hell, wouldn't it?

no huge reason or motivation to do so, just kinda wondering if anyone did a conversion to a les paul special - but i suppose one benefit would be loss of weight without chambering, though you lose the nice carved top

it would, but removing the neck first then re-setting it could work
