My Trans Blue is almost done

After being on the road for the past three weeks I finally got home last Monday and had some time to finish up my Blue LP. I completely gutted it and replaced just about everything on it. Here is a list of parts that were replaced.

Seymour Duncan Pickups, SH-2 Jazz in the neck and SH-4 JB in the Bridge
Black pickup surrounds
Alpha 500k Pots 2 push/pull for coil tap new wiring and Orange .022 drop caps
New Switch craft toggle switch and input jack black input jack cover
Wilkinson Black Roller bridge and Stop bar
Black speed knobs
Black Gibson/Grover 18:1 rotomatic tuners
Tusq nut
I still have a few more odds and ends to finish up when I get home again. Any way here are some really bad pics of what is done so far. I will get better pics when I am home as the wife does a bad job of taking pics.

Re: My Trans Blue is almost done

I'm not usually fond of blue guitars, but I have to admit that one is nice! Looks great with the black hardware.

A black selector switch ring and a black pick gaurd would dress her up really nice. Great job. How does she sound?

Re: My Trans Blue is almost done

No switch ring, no pickguard, needs racing stripe down middle of body though(might be overkill... . Nice looker. Is that a 78-82 camaro in your avatar? Drag, pro street, or weekend cruiser?

Hmmmm ..... shouldn't that read "black and blue" ? .... say, reminds me of the old ad for the Stones album Black and Blue

.....perhaps inappropriate to post it, as that ad campaign took heat for it's tagline "I'm black and blue from the Rolling Stones and I love it" or words to that effect, with a picture of a trusssed up young lass with bruises and all....
ah, had to love the '70's

I still need to change the switch nut with a black one next time I am home. And please no racing stripes. I still have not played it since the changes, that will come on Monday when I get home. The Black rod in my avitar is my 70 Olds 442 it can run on the street and will even run on pump gas. It is set up for Super Street 10.90 index car, Although is has run in the low 9's a time or two with a little help from the bottle.
