Discontinued models?

Hello all!

I'm looking for a new guitar and I love the Les Paul. I did my shopping by going onto the greatest guitar picture site ever...eBay.

Two guitars REALLY caught my eye. I would get either one in a heartbeat if I get the chance.

The two guitars are:

Epiphone Les Paul Custom WINE RED
Epiphone Les Paul Custom Plus (aka Flametop)

So I "run" over to musiciansfriend.com and neither of them come up. I try Guitar Center. Nothing. I search google. Nothing.

So i suppose these are discontinued. Is there any chance of finding a new or unused one in the near future without resorting to eBay. Or even better, will they ever be brought back to production?

I know that the Wine Red Custom is discontinued. I'm guessing the other is discontinued as well. Your best bet is to keep looking on eBay.

Wine Reds seem to pop up on eBay once a month or so. Other than that, not sure how you'll find one.

Have you noticed the LP Custom Antique Ivory? Its a beautiful guitar.

I never even heard of Sweetwater before. Sweet.

I still prefer the wine red, but if a good one doesnt pop up on ebay in the next week or so, ill get the flametop.

I was just in there last night picking up my new Goldtop, they had an Epi Custom Plus Top in Vintage Sunburst. I think they ship, give em a call, they're really helpful.

I think it was 599 or 699 btw.

Found a Wine Red on eBay that looks legit. It's definitely been played, but at least it doesn't look like a fake.

Guitar.

I'd ask the seller for a pic of the serial number before you bid, though (just to be safe).

Worrying about a fake Epiphone when Epiphones are fake Gibsons. Makes a lot of sense. You wouldn't want to get a fake ><

Epiphones are not FAKE Gibsons. You do know Gibson owns Epiphone right?

Epiphone is to Gibson what Squire is to Fender.

Except Epiphone is generally of better quality than a Squier.
